Then control the codes out of the Asterisk box. You ask why so much trouble, just turn the code off. Well the reason is called migration not all users are on the VoIP box just yet, one man to many and tiny tight budget, so they say! :contract: right :spoke:
Wow, I just couldn’t stop messing around with the Asterisk box and bam it hit me on the side of the head.. I feel kind of like a retart… Put this in the dial plan of the asterisk box..

1XXXXXXXXXXXXX the last three XXX of that line is you access code for the LD carrier.
i.e. 15125551212491 (491 is the code) put more X’s if you need more numbers.

Thanks for all your input I think this site saved me some time………….

Not to rain on your parade, but what if your user dials a toll-free number? They won't be putting in the LD access code, so how will the asterisk know the end of the dialed string - interdigit timeout? Could cause you some issues. You may need to think about putting in 11-character entries for 1888, 1877, 1866, 1800....

Done deal that's what I did....

1800XXXXXXX
1888XXXXXXX and so on

I'm using freepbx mod and it has it all in there... All you do is pick toll free and it puts them all in the dial plan.
