We have EC500 and I can use the outbound to cell just fine.
But, how do you dial into the EC500 from a CELL phone to make an outbound call that will spoof the ANI. Make it look like im calling from my desk? |

On the XMOBILE station, the cell phone number has to be setup exactly as it shows on the incoming ANI (ie if it shows all 10 digits when you call in, then the number has to be programmed as that). You can't put in 123-4567 for the cell number if it normally displays as 321-123-4567.
Also, check to make sure that the mapping mode is setup as "both." If it is set to "termination," then that is why it only works calling your cell phone. For more information on programming the XMOBILE station, here's a link to the administration guide that explains how to program the XMOBILE station in the switch. http://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/E...10100500_4.pdf Additionally, it will only show the caller ID of your desk if you are calling another number within the same PBX. If you're trying to call out to somewhere not on the PBX (or another swith that is conneected via DCS, QSIG, etc.) then it will show your cell number. Here's a link to the user guide on Avaya's site, and Chapter 2 covers making and receiving calls. http://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/E...10100700_3.pdf Hope that helps. |
