Can CDR record INTERNAL calls?

I work on a very large Definity network.

One of the sites has a (dont laugh) G3 SI with V4.0.054 software.

It seems a joker calls a guy there, everyday, and generally makes an ass of himself.

The person recieving the calls is less than amused and would like to find out who is calling him.

We are pretty sure it is an internal call so I would love to have the CDR catch him at this for legal action.

Question # 1 - Can the Switch display CDR info on Station to Station Calls?

Question # 2 - If so, how?

I have read the documentation and I see it is vaguely discussed but I have yet to figure out how to actually turn it on.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Re: Can CDR record INTERNAL calls?

I haven't touched a V4 in a long time so I am not sure this option is there. Go to "ch sys cdr" and look for the field called "Intra-switch CDR" and make sure it says "y". Make sure your call accounting computer can record internal calls.

You could also give the person getting the calls a display phone so he can see where the calls are coming from.

Re: Can CDR record INTERNAL calls?

I thought about just doing a bridged appearance but there is no documentation that way.

For now, I have it recording to a file in a PC for later retrieval.

I have found this field "cha intra-switch CDR" that looks like it has the ability to add stations that will be included.

I am going to try this and I will let you know what happens.

Cheers,

Re: Can CDR record INTERNAL calls?

also add every extension into "cha intra-switch-cdr"

Not sure if that command was avaiable on a V4.
