G3si V6
I need some clarification please, we are upgrading a G3si V6 to CM2.2 not changing the platform and we are going to use an orange card for the upgrade. We have some boards that we are installing for announcements, maint. test and expansion inter face. I'm getting conflicting information saying that we need a blowback and some saying we do not. I tried to find something on the avaya support site but nothing clear on if we do or do not need one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: G3si V6
You should have the CM2.2 documentation CD with all the rest of the stuff. Load it up and look for the document "Avaya MCC1 & SCC1 Media Gateways Installation and Avaya DEFINITY Server SI Upgrades Made Easy". Head for the chapter called "Upgrade R5/R6/R7/R8si to Avaya Communication Manager".
It goes into great detail about the procedures.
