Re: Need help with creating hunt group...
Say that your two people have extensions 2345 and 4567. Add hunt group 1 (if you don't have any now or a higher number if you do), give it a name and a group extension 1234 (for this example). You can leave everything else default for now, they define various ways the hunt group can be customized.
Now press next page to get to the members list page, you may have to press next more than once to get there. Add 2345 and 4567 to the member list. Press enter. Now when anyone calls 1234 it will ring on one of the two members. The default will be to ring on the first number who will answer the call. The next call will be to the other number and they will alternate that way. You can modify how the hunt group works by changing some of the options I told you to skip earlier. You can add a queue, coverage to a group mail box, how the calls get answered by the hunt group, etc.

Re: Need help with creating hunt group...
martinyoug,
thanks for that info. I guess I have my terminology confused (yet I will save the info you just gave me) I dont want people to call another extension to get to them, in your example ext 1234 to reach 2345 & 4567 alternatively. What I need (or they are requeting :() is that when someone calls ext 2345 and does not answer then it resorts to 4567 or vice versa and end up in vmail of the last extension it rang. I hope I am explaining myself correctly. thanks, ceez |

Re: Need help with creating hunt group...
You could do this with a cover path. Get two unused cover paths and for station 2345 (keeping the same examples) the first point in coverage would be 4567 then voice mail. 4567 would cover to 2345 then voice mail. However, the voice mail box the call will go to will be the first number called not the number it rotated to.

Hy Guy,
If I understand your request, you would like to allow 2 users to answer at the same call. So to do this, u have to make hun by this command : add hunt next Now to set the first page, u have to determine the extension of the hunt so if your idea is to the both user could answer to their phone extension, u have to create 2 new phone extension and set their real phone extension in the hunt group. after u have to determine the group type for call distribution. now at the third page u have to set the new phone extension of your both user and record this to finish. do the same for the second hunt group. Now if you wants you could make a bridge between the both phone like this both user could answer to the phone call. I hope than I could help u kind regards Thibaut ![]() |
