Question 4612 IP Phone Question

Hi everyone,

Is it possible from a 4612 IP Phone configure between Half or Full Duplex, 10 or 100Mgbits, or is it auto established by a switch ( in this case a Cisco Catalyst 3500 ).

thanks in advance,

Bruno

Re: 4612 IP Phone Question

As far as I know, there is nothing you can do at the phone to set the Ethernet parameters. It never asks you about that when starting it up for the first time nor do any of the shortcut keys I have give you that info.

Those are set by the CLAN and MedPro, and the Cisco ports they talk to should be set to the same.

Re: 4612 IP Phone Question

On 4621 model phones you can set it by doing the following:

Hit the Mute button
Hit INT (468) then # ,
you will see: PHY1=100Mbps FDX
*=change #=ok

If the phone is not "100Mbps FDX" press the * until 100Mbps appears then press the # to save and exit.

If the phone is set to 100Mbps then press the # to exit back to the main screen.

New Value will be saved and the phone will reset if any changes are made.
