Re: Replacement of Flash Card In Definity Prologix
All your configuration is stored on this card and it is swappable. You will have to get the card from Avaya, you cannot go to your local computer store and buy one. On the side of the card is the capacity in megabytes, replace it with the same capacity card.
When you have the new card you can pull out the existing card while the switch is running and put the new one in, do a "save translations" and your configuration is now written to the new card. One caveat, do not pull out the old card while the amber in use light is lit. You could fry the card. You might be able to get a flash card in the used Avaya equipment market. Whatever data is on that card will be overwritten when you save your data. If you buy a used flash card, do not boot your switch with it because you will have no idea what the logins are and you will not be able to crack them.
