I have just taken over attempting to fix my companies Audix system. It appears it worked about two years ago, but from there the audix box broke down. It was sent to Lucent (Avaya) and repaired, loaded with the appropriate os (v4) and then sent back to us. At this point we put the box back in and since this time it has not worked properly. I have been attempting to no success to figure out the problem myself. What I see that I think is bad now is when I use the Audix system and attempt to Audit the Switch Names it always gives me an error saying all ports are busy. Also when listing the boards in the Definity PBX unit I can see at locations 01a110and 01a111 places reserved for the AUDIX, but it says that the boards are not present and gives me all UUUUUUUU's. I am really at a loss as to where to go from this point. I would just call Avaya, but that solution has resulted in dead ends due to financial concerns for the past. Of course for now there is no hurry since the company has not had voicemail in the past 2 years, but they are planning on expanding and I am being asked to do my best to fix the problem. Any suggestions???

Re: Definity Server & Repaired Audix Box
Let's start with some basic questions.
1.What type and release is the Definity? Since the boards are in carrier 1A, I will assume it is in the Sys 75, G1, G3i family. 2.How does the Intuity connect to your switch, I assume it connects to the Processor Interface on the A carrier and uses a Processor Channel but please confirm that. This connection assumes (there's that word again) that the Definity is new enough to have that connector, if it is older then the Intuity will use a data module. 3.Are the analog boards that were assigned to it in the Definity still there and are the cross connects still in place? 4.Assuming a Processor Channel, what do you get when you status link x? 5.When you status the Processor Channel (usually 59 on an older switch), what do you get? 6.When you go into diagnostics in the Intuity, does it see the link up? 7.Did you assign the extensions back into the Voice Group in the Intuity and when you go to the monitor screen are they all in service? Make sure that the extensions are assigned to the Voice Group in the same order they are in the Definity hunt group. 8.Did you restart the Audix service in the Intuity (assign it to Number Services)?
