Plantronics Headsets and 4620 phones
I am using 4620 IP phones and use plantronic M12 base units and H51 Headsets and the sound quality is horrible. The base is plugged directly into the headset input on the phone and I've messed around with all the settings on the base. Is there something I may be missing here? Do the IP phones require a specific type of headset?

Re: Plantronics Headsets and 4620 phones
I think you don't need the M12, just buy a cable (don't know what is the exact model, but you have the PLU10P PLU10PL and PLR042L ask your dealer which is the right one) to connect your H51 directly to your 4620 and it should go fine. At least that is what is working here.

Re: Plantronics Headsets and 4620 phones
According to the website, 4620sw phones manufactured after 11/04 require the HIC cable for direct connection, those prior to 11/04 require the HIP. This info was found on the Avaya side of Plantronics website.

Re: Plantronics Headsets and 4620 phones
It's a HIP-1 cable. RJ11 on one end, quick release on the other.
