FAX vs. 2500 in Set Type field
I'm using a definity with Communication Manager 2.0
I've noticed in my switch some faxes are defined in the station admin screen as set type 'fax' and others are '2500'. I know both types are analog and both function correctly. Are there other things I should know about these set types? Is it better to call it a fax than 2500 if it is an analog fax machine? Thanks. |

Re: FAX vs. 2500 in Set Type field
"fax" is an alias. Do a "disp alias stat".
You should see alias set type = fax and supported set type = 2500. I use this for adminisrative purposes. If you were looking for all faxes "list stat type fax" They are the same reqardless. |
