Restricted Numbers
Hi All
I have a defernity G3Si R6 with me which has not been giving the right SMDR output for sometime. There are few numbers in my country which are the telecom providers line e.g 011-National Operator 012-International Operator 014-timeservice I can see the trace and SMDR log for 014 but the other two numbers 011 and 012 is not shown at anyplace when the call is made. They are following the same route-pattern and the same procedures when called outside.I beleive there might be some numbers which would be restricted from the Avaya PABX. Can someone help please. Regards Karan

Re: Restricted Numbers
I am having a hard time understanding what you are asking. But I'll take a stab at this.
So you are dialing 012XXXXXXX..... It is possible that the definity is stripping off the 012 before the call hits the trunk. Then you output to the SMDR is only XXXXXXXX..... |

Restricted Numbers
Hi there
I'm only dialing 012 and not 012XXXXXX. This number is the telecom operator service which is FOC. For example, if i would want the Telecom Provider Operator to call a number for me I would dial 9 to pick an outside trunk and then 012 or 011 which will go to the telecom operator and he or she will connect me to the desired line. Now, what I cannot see in the SMDR is those two numbers being dialed which is 012 & 011. However, there is another number for Telecom time service which is not FOC. So, we dial 9 for an outside line and then dial 014. This is shown on the SMDR output. What my only problem is, I cannot see the operator assisted calls which is 012 and 011. I hope that is clearer. Regards Karan

Re: Restricted Numbers
You are not dialing the number. The operator is. That is why it is not in your SMDR output. Why are you allowing operator assisted dialing in the first place. You would think the costs associated with this would be a reason to deny it.
Here's a good example. Call me. 2015551212. Then I transfer you to 2015558888. Do you think you will see the 2015558888 in your smdr output. NO. Becuase I dialed it, not you. You will only see 2015551212. |

Restricted Numbers
OK i got you, but the thing is when i call you on 2015551212, I should see this on the SMDR right? which i cannot see on the SMDR output. That is what I'm after. Just the two numbers which I mentioned, the rest is OK.
