Licence on S8700

I am tryinh to install the licence file on the S8700 server. I already installed the CM from the CD to server1. While I am installing the licence file via web maintenance tool, the command failed and it gives me "platform type/ offered type mismatch".

Do you have any ideas what is wrong? This is my first S8700 installation and maybe I am doing something wrong

Re: Licence on S8700

Try running the "installation wizard" there you will be prompted for the license file as well as the auth file. you can also assign all the IP info and config the servers. Also, look in RFA and view the server platform type and verify it is for an s8700.

It means that the license file was setup in RFA as one platform type (either IP-Connect or Multi-Connect) and the installation tech (that would be you) set it up as the other platform type. Me? Been there, done this.
