I have a unique problem that I cannot seem to figure out. Here's my equipment:

Definity G3SiR10
L3 STE Secure phones in DEF-8510 emulation (via TN556 cards)
ISDN-PRI via Qwest (via TN464 card)

My location is on a Air Force Base but this organization prefers not to use the base phone system (Meridian). We have a tie trunk with the base so we can dial DSN, LD, and Local phone numbers through the base switch (mostly as a backup to our Qwest PRI and also so we have DSN inbound/outbound access).

It seems we are having some delay problems when dialing any local base number either via our commercial PRI or via the tie-trunk. This is only a problem on my ISDN phones as my analog/digital users have no delay when calling ANY numbers.

When an ISDN user calls a base number via PRI (9+7 digit base number) there is a two to three second delay before the far end can hear us. The same problem exists for ISDN phones when dialing via the tie-trunk (999+7 digit base number). My ISDN users have no problems dialing any other locations via 9+# (PRI) but when dialing 999+# (via the tie-trunk) the same problem surfaces (other end cannot hear you for 2-3 seconds).

Problem obviously seems to be isolated between my G3Si and the Base Meridian switch when using a ISDN port. I don't think the insturment is the problem (L3 STE), but I do not have any other ISDN phones to test this with. I can use a L3 STE in analog mode and it does not have any delay problems.

FYI-I'm a self taught PBX administrator over the past 1+ year so please bear with me. I'm normally a good ole' Systems/Network Engineer but this PBX has been added to my duties...I greatly appreciate anything you can add to help me troubleshoot this annoying problem. My ISDN users are getting quite annoyed! Thanks in advance!:D
