Is there a way to block the extension number from being displayed on an internal call?

We use # in front of the name to block Directory listings.

Actually, any special charater will prevent a directory listing, *, #, -, +, <underscore>, &, etc.

On the COS form change the " Client Room" field to "y" for the appropiate COS on you stations. It will display only the room number and if there is no room number defined on the station form it will only display the name.

well on our switch R 11 either of the last two items work, both name and number goes across when making internal station to station calls.. This might be release related, cause so far I have not been able to block name and extenison numbers from the display when calling station to station

On the change system-parameters hospitality form, you need to have "Display Room Information in Call Display?" set to "y". This is in addition to the COS change that thomasq suggested. You have to change both for it to work.
