MAP D call record

Would there be anyone out there who can tell me where to find on how many digits of the call record the MAPD would pass through from , for instance a CTI server? We are trying to track recorded calls on a Nice server using the uuid records or call record that would be placed in the data stream by a CTI server going through the MAPD as an adjunct link to a CLS server for Nice recording. We know that there are 32 digits to the record but are only recieveing 20 at the Nice side. We are unsure of where the limitation is MAPD, CVCT server etc.
Thanks much
Joe

Re: MAP D call record

Hello.

We are working with NiceCLS and the connection with Avaya. I think that you have a problem but probably is not in the MAPD board. The NiceCLS server is able to get some information from the CTI server but only can save 20 chareacters in several fields.

Which field are you trying to save the information in?. if this field is External Call Tag you could have this problem.

This is a piece of text suplied by Nice

"...... The call tag is inserted in the NiceCLS call record in the External Call ID field, which can hold up to
20 characters. Users are able to search for calls with a specific call tag......"

I hope this information was usefull to you.

Re: MAP D call record

If I am understanding you correctly, the cls caller ID field only holds 20 characters. That would explain why we can only see 20. You would have thought the Nice vendor would know that and told us. Is the newer 8.9 capable of 32 characters?
Thanks a lot

Re: MAP D call record

Hello Joe.

I have got this information from the Nice Link API. This API (8.9 version) is from the NICE company direcly and I haven't any piece of news about they have changed the field length.

In this API, they told you that you can try to save several piece of data in optional fields (they call them BUSINESS DATA). There you have some fields longer than 32 characters.

Maybe you can try to save in theese fields to be sure that Avaya is sending you 20 digits in spite of 32.

Who have changed this length? NiCE or your integrator....
