Intuity Audix rejecting calls

Another question related to that ISDN circuit I'm working on, if I may...

Whenever a call goes to coverage in switch #2 and is delivered to Audix, the Audix box
rejects it with an error message indicating that it doesn't recognize the subscriber,
even though it's been defined and set up.

I looked through all of the SA menus and found the one for setting up another switch,
which I did, but that didn't seem to make any difference - Audix is still waving them off.
Is there another menu within Audix where I need to define a new switch? I've already added
the valid extension range numbers for the new switch, but it seems like I've missed something.

check your switch link administration on the intuity. there needs to be an entry for each switch - pointing to the same ip address (c-lan board) - using separate tcp ports. these ports need to be defined in the comm processor form on the host pbx. you need to set up the gateway information on both ends' signalling groups, and on the host pbx's tsc-gateway form.

Thank you again. I caught it this morning; I had my signalling groups set up and I had the switch interface defined in the Intuity, but I hadn't defined the gateway correctly on the host switch. I fixed that and all is well in Avaya-land now.

Re: Intuity Audix rejecting calls

Ok, one last snag...

Everything is working ok between the Definity G3si and the Definity Prologix over an ISDN DCS link except for one thing -
I can't get the message-waiting lights to light on the phones at the Prologix (remote) site. I've checked the stations to make sure that they have LWC defined as Audix, I have an entry for Audix in the signalling group on the Prologix, and the individual stations can collect and retrieve messages - they just can't see the light.

I did a trace application layer on the Intuity and noticed that the link only goes up when it's called for, and then drops pretty quickly after that. Is the Audix MWI status being passed over the voice channel or the D-channel? What am I missing?

Re: Intuity Audix rejecting calls

be sure switch number is defined (and differs) on both switches on the dialplan or dialplan parameters screens. also, mailboxes need to be defined as residing on switch 1 and 2. its being passed over the d-channel, so did you check your tsc-gateway formon the host switch?

Re: Intuity Audix rejecting calls

Thank you, Toro.

I just caught it - i made an error in the processor channel form. I had the Audix Local and Remote sessions set incorrectly. As soon as I fixed that, the link to the remote switch came up solid and the MWI lights started working.

This was the first DCS config that I had to do myself. Thanks for putting up with my questions! :o
