We have two G3Si switches located in in different sites. We have a DCS trunk over ISDN between these two nodes. We use one of the site as back up. On site A we have incoming DID from PSTN and on site B we have all ther users registered. We have same extension on Site A also for the back up purpose. We use to have the incoming calls transfered to the Site B when there was no user registered at Site A even though the same extension was also there in switch A. Now the incoming calls are send to the dead extension. Please someone help on this.

Re: Problem with G3Si and S8300
There is a setting on the dialplan or dialplan parameters screen (depending on release) that tells the switch to look up local extensions first, or UDP extensions first.

Re: Problem with G3Si and S8300
Yes there is the problem with that setting is that the way our switch are set that Site A and Site B have duplicate configuration the IP phones registers with Site B first if the Site B is down then it registers with Site A but the incoming DID are set at Site A. We want the DID to redirect it to Site B since the phone are registered at Site B. If I set the dialplan parameters to use UDP first it worls fine but when the Site B is down it still goes to site B where as we want it to dial the local extesion. The other proble is when the Site B is down and the users are registered at Site A they cannot dial local extesion as it tries to send it to Site B.
