SIP CCS Session Timer too small
Here is an interesting problem!
We are using a R2.2 CM (S8300B/G700) and a R2.1 CCS to communicate with a Cisco SIP Proxy v2.2 and AS5350 met IOS 12.3T. SIP calls both incoming as outgoing are setup and working, but there is a problem with the SIP Minimum Session Time. Outgoing: Avaya CCS > Cisco ProxyA outgoing SIP invite has Min-SE set to 240, this invite is rejected with a error: “Status: 422 Session Timer too small”. A new successful SIP invite is than send with Min-SE set to 1800 Incoming Cisco Proxy > Avaya CCS A incoming SIP invite has Min-SE set to 1800, this invite is setup successfully. After about 33 seconds the CCS sends “Status: 408 Request Timeout” The conversation is then dropped! All inbound calls are dropped after about 33 seconds! This is off course a unacceptable behaviour and we want a solution for this. Also see the following document on page 16 there is mentioned a modification request defsw033870 “Inbound PSTN->CM call via Cisco AS5300 drops after 3 seconds” and IMPrs030120 “INVITE timeout too short” Source document: “Interoperability Test Plan and Result for Avaya R2.0 CCS and CM SIP Offer”, COMPASS ID: 97542, Issue 1.0, date May 24, 2004 Included is an Ethereal (Version 0.10.11) capture with an inbound call towards number 0877853536 which is drop after about 33 seconds and a outbound call toward number 0475370860. Don't forget too use the SIP display filter. Avaya CCS = 192.168.148.7 Cisco Proxy = 10.160.64.1 Any solutions and/or suggestions are welcome. |
