Definity G3i v12 | Polycom ViewStation Data-Module Configuration

Does anyone know how to configure the data-modules for Polycom ViewStation FX?
I have a Quad BRI NT-1 Box.

You will need a quad BRI interface part number 2215-10646-001. I connect this the switch via a TN556B card. The TN556B is a 4 wire interface. Each 2 pair connection connects to 1 port on the quad BRI interface.

The data modules are programmed like this (you will need to program 4 of these):

DATA MODULE

Data Extension: XXXX Name: Video Conf 1
Type: wcbri COS: 1
Port: 01B0201 COR: 8 Multimedia? n
TN: 1

ABBREVIATED DIALING
List1:

SPECIAL DIALING OPTION:

CIRCUIT SWITCHED DATA ATTRIBUTES
Default Duplex: full Default Mode: async Default Speed: 1200

DATA MODULE CAPABILITIES
Default ITC: restricted Default Data Application: M2_A

BRI LINK/MAINTENANCE PARAMETERS

XID? n Fixed TEI? n
Country Protocol: 1 Endpt Init? n

Liquid thanks

Does it work with a TN2198?

No. You will need a quad NT-1 to change the U interface off of the TN2198 to a S/T interface to go into the quad BRI.

My suggestion to you would be to get a TN556B. I bought mine used for about $175 each. Because the quad NT1 from polycom is about $1000.

You could make it work with TN2198 using both a quad NT1 and quad BRI, but the cabling might start to get a little ugly and complex.

Let me know how you make out, I have installed Tn556B's w/ polycom viewstation EX and quad BRI modules in all my sights to replace dedicated ISDN BRI's that were getting expensive to pay. On another note, you will probably need to call you PRI vendor and tell them that you will be doing video over these circuits. There is a date base that they will load your DID's into that will identify them as video. Without this being done, your video conf calls could fail during setup.
