Modular Messaging Subscriber Options
Would anybody happen to know which port (TCP or UDP) that the Subscriber Options client uses? Customer has ModMess on one side of the firewall with clients on the other. Gets hung when changing passwords. Seems to me like its LDAP, but looking for confirmation....
****** FOLLOW - UP ******** It turns out that it was all in DNS. After further investigation, we found that it didn't work on either side of the firewall, but did work from the MAS. Customer added the MAS hostname to his DNS forward lookup zone, and voila. I miss intuity... Last edited by eltorodeoro; August 30th, 2005 at 07:51 PM. |

Re: Modular Messaging Subscriber Options
ports used:
25 SMTP - used between MAS and store 389 LDAP - Used between MAS and store 110 POP3 - used between client and Exchange server/MAS if a port was being blocked you would see other symptoms.
