I have a definity G3siV11. I have installed IP phones in the LAN working via a specific CLAN - MedPro board. Now I need to administer H323 Trunk via a different router to WAN. Can I use the same CLAN - MedPro boards? And if yes, what gateway will I use for my ip-interfaces?

Information you probably already know, but.... A clan can support up to 400 IP phones but a medpro can only support 64 calls without compression (G.711). If you are using compression then you only get 32 channels.

I am in the process of truning up IP trunking at all my sights. I only have a handfull of IP phones. Regardless, every sight is going to have 2 medpros and 2 to 3 clans. The IP trunks will be configured with 1/2 of the group members using 1 signaling group (clan 1) and the other 1/2 using a different signaling group (clan 2). This was if I loose 1 of the clans only 1/2 of the trunk will go down. Also with 2 medpros you loose 1 you still have 1. I am using G7.11 codec and fully inter-connecting 6 sights with IP trunks.
