Loud paging on 8405D

Does anybody know if it is possible to bring overhead paging to 8400 series phones in G3si v.12 environment? I know it can be done on other (newer) phones…

Sure. You will need an amp and some speakers. Check out www.vikingelectronics.com
Then wire the speakers to the amp. The amp connects to a port on your Definity G3. I use a TN763 Aux trunk for this. You might be able to use an analog port, not sure.. Then do a 'cha paging loud' Here you can enter the port you used and a tac. Then when someone want to use the paging, they dial the tac and talk.

There may be other ways to do it, this is one....Good luck

Thanks liquidvw, but it's not what I was asking (my darn English!)
I meant is it possible to hear overhead paging on a desk phone. In some offices we do not have ceiling speakers.
Again, I apologize for the misunderstanding.
