PRI setup assistance

I setup two PRI connected to DS1 cards on two trunks. The two DS1 and Trunks are setup exactly the same, however on one of the trunks the first 1 keeps getting stripped out. So when making long distance calls we keep getting the message from the operator to dial a 1. Now I can insert a 1 in the inserted digits fiels but I want to figure out why one trunk is working normally but the other one isnt. Anybody know the answer?

Here is the configuration of the Trunk Group thats causing the problem:

Re: PRI setup assistance

I would bet the problem is with your route pattern. Change route pattern X and for prk mrk. Set it to 1 and then make the call. I am thinking that yours is set to 0, in which your switch will supress the dialed 1.

Tried it. No change. Anyway I have setup the route pattern with the working trunk group and made calls just fine. If I replace it with the trunk group casuing the problem I get the same error. So its not the routing pattern.

Re: PRI setup assistance

In the route pattern, try changing the prefix mark to 4, instead.

Re: PRI setup assistance

We had a similar problem in the past and in ars we changed the call type to natl. The other thing was in the route pattern telling the system under system/feature the service is SDN and numbering format is pub-unk.

Hope this helps

But 4 is to always suppress a user dialed "1".

Thanks. Putting in unk-unk in the numbering format field resolved the issue. Its still strange though. For the other trunk group which is exactly the same I don't need to put in unk-unk in the route pattern, just in the trunk group configuration.
