EC500 Caller ID

Here is my problem.

I have enabled EC500 on my switch. When I call the host number from a specific are code, the cell phone receives a bogus Caller ID. Since I have two ISDN trunk groups - Long distance and Local, I routed the EC500 call over one then the other. Then I discovered that if I place the EC500 call out to the cell phone over the Long DIstance trunk, I get the caller ID. Whereas if I place the call over the Local call trunk group I get a bogus caller ID.

Does this make sense? Can anyone help.

Thanks.

Re: EC500 Caller ID

Inspect your working ISDN trunk group. It is probably configured to send outgoing info ( pg 2) or it could be in your "chg ISDN pub numbering" field. I can't remember, have to see it.

Good luck.

Re: EC500 Caller ID

Both trunk groups are configured to send the caller ID. AS far as the "ISDN pub numbering" field, we are sending the area code and prefix for localy administered number.

In this situation though, I don't see how the "ISDN pub number" has any affect, since the caller ID that is being passed onto the cell phone is that of the incomming call, which is not a locally administered extension.

What else should I look at? How about the service provider?
