I am trying to get an IP trunk set up and after getting the ip-routes set up, the signaling group will not come up. I did a test on the signaling group and encountered a FAIL.
Port Maintenance Name Alt. Name Test No. Result Error Code 36 H323-SGR 1386 FAIL 1 36 H323-SGR 1392 PASS 36 H323-SGR 1387 PASS Does anybody know what the 1386 failure is? Thanks |

Re: s8700MS IP Signaling test
Yea I found that one.
Test 386 error 1. Represents a failure of the clan hardware carrying the signaling group D channel. Check the errors against the clan bd maintenance object. What happens when you status the singaling group on each end? |

Re: s8700MS IP Signaling test
The signaling group on the near end reports out of service.
The far end...in service. I did a test on the C-Lan and an ABORT occurred. Any ideas? TEST RESULTS Port Maintenance Name Alt. Name Test No. Result Error Code 01A12 CLAN-BD 52 PASS 01A12 CLAN-BD 598 PASS 01A12 CLAN-BD 600 PASS 01A12 CLAN-BD 601 PASS 01A1217 ETH-PT 1281 ABORT 0 01A1217 ETH-PT 1286 PASS 01A1217 ETH-PT 1282 PASS 01A1217 ETH-PT 1511 PASS |

Re: s8700MS IP Signaling test
Thanks liquid...
What is strange, now that I have taken the signaling group and moved it to my secondary CLAn, the CLAN in question tests fine. I noticed that the install team has the CLAN set with Ethernet Option of Auto. I am thinking I may want to hard code the Cisco and CLAN to Full/100. Any thoughts? My CLAN in another switch (G3Si V2.1) has the CLAN set to Half/10. Should I just set to Half/10, full/100 or keep it auto? |

Re: s8700MS IP Signaling test
Depends. The PBX setting must match your LAN switch. If there is a mismatch. ie PBX auto, LAN 10/half (or something like that) you will have problems. I allways have my Clan set to 100 full and the LAN switch set to 100 full. Once I have a mismatch, it caused some wired problems.
