Canceling PRI. Need to change sync?

G3 CM2.0.

At this sight I am over trunked. I am going to cancel 1 PRI. Should be very easy as the PRI is only used for outgoing calls. I am going to change the routes so that the trunk is unused and then remove the trunk.

The only issue that I see is that the PRI is used under the synchronization plan as the sync source. There is only a primary, no secondary. So if I remove this trunk, I know I am going to get alarms. So, Is it as simple as changing the sync from one trunk to another? Do I need to tell my carrier that they need to provide clocking on this other PRI? I haven't had this situation come up before and would like some help.

you sync to a T1 line. you can sync to any carrier and every T1 should provide clocking.
