Removing Attendant Consoles

Hi Everybody,
We are in the process of converting our seven (7) Attendant Consoles over to 6424D+M phones so that we may record our Operators in NICE Universe. I read in a previous thread here that a pre-requisite to doing this would be to: A) remove all administered Attendant Consoles (there are 12 of them; 7 active, 5 x-ported), and B) change the dial plan and make zero (0) an ‘Extension’ (in reality it would become a VDN).

I checked out all of our Coverage Paths and none of them route to “Attendant.”

I am trying to figure out where else in the PBX it is possible to specify “Attendant” as an option to route calls. Can you help? Thanks!

We are running:
Software Load: R011r.03.2.536.1
Memory Configuration: G3rV11
Offer Category: A

Re: Removing Attendant Consoles

We went ahead with the changeover and everything went smoothly. Here are the steps I followed in case someone else needs to do what I did:

Step 1: Delete all Attendant Console profiles, EXCEPT the Principal (only if you are routing 1-digit zero to the attendant)
Step 2: Change the Dial Plan, digit 0, from 'attd' to 'ext'
Step 3: Delete the Principal Attendant Console
Step 4: Add VDN zero (0) and route to main Operator vector (as a safety precaution)
Step 5: "Change system-parameters features," Page 1, "DID/Tie/ISDN Intercept Treatment:" field to an announcement extension from 'attd'
Step 6: Add 'night-service' button to one of the new Operator phones (if you use it)
