Remote IP Phone Sound

S8100
G3 V12

Does anyone know how to address the sound issue on a remote IP phone? All of the users that I have deployed a remote IP phone are stating that sound is bad (sounding like the remote user is talking in a tunnel) to the person on the other end of the line.

I changed my Codec from G.711MU to G.729 a few months ago and that seemed to help a little. Has anyone else ran into this issue or any other ideas?

The remote users are using a Cisco PIX 501 for their firewall
