How can I force people to use4 digit dialing vs 11 digit?

G3 CM2.X in all sights. IP trunks between them. Is there a way (other than running Ecas reports and calling people) to force people to use 4 digit dialing (which is free) vs. 11 digit dialing (which is not). I know I could deny those in ARS but I use ISDN as backup to the IP trunks. If the IP trunks were to go down. The ISDN would be the next route and in that case I am taking the 4 digits and adding (via the route pattern) the area code and exchange.

Any ideas???

do an aar or ars digit conversion.. they will then be dialing 4-digit without knowing it.

Use ARS digit conversion to force the 11-digit calls to the 4-digit AAR tables. Here's an example that would force the DID range 214-555-6xxx to the AAR tables where 6xxx would be the 4-digits evaluated:

change ars digit-conversion 1

Matching Pattern
12145556

Min
11

Max
11

Del
7

Replacement String
<BLANK>

Net
aar

Conv
n

ANI Req
n

regs,

I got that. But what happens when the IP trunks go down. Then I am sending 4 digit dialed calls over ISDN via the PSTN. In that case I take the 4 digits and add 1 area code and exchange.
