We are on Definity G3S1 CM 2.0 Intuity 5.5

Is anyone aware of another way to run standard bcms reports via a report scheduler or any standard scheduling system and either have them print or saved for later printing--other than to do a "list bcms agen t XXXX schedule" with the system printer?

I can use the standard report scheduler to print. However, because of the way the Definity sends the jobs to the printer, and perhaps because all our printers are Lexmarks or IBM1145's, the reports tend to cause the printer to error out. Part of this is a known IBM/Lexmark problem--900 RIP service error, but with no truly known solution. This error is caused by matters other than Avaya reports--it is not isolated to Avaya, but my reports seems to cause it on a very regular basis. More than 50% of the time, my reports cause this error and they don't run.

I know this is really a printer problem, but since I am unable to find a good solution, I am wondering if there is a better way to schedule bcms reports to run at a scheduled time for printing/viewing later.

Perhaps some of you out there know of a simple solution I'm not even aware of.

If you have ASA you can have the reports run daily, weekly, etc., and have them emailed to you or another user for archiving or importing into spreadsheets.

Can you explain this further? In ASA, I can see how to schedule these reports and I can see them display in my scheduler window on the bottom, but I don't see how I can e-mail these or export them when they run. Where do I set up how to process them after they run?

In ASA go to advanced on the left side and click on reports, set up the report you want and have the output emailed.

Geez...I have looked at that SO many times and never saw the option to List BCMS, so I figured I couldn't run it. I never thought to try typing in whatever I wanted to run. I thought I could only run what was in the drop down.

There is also a new tool called BCMSit from www.utilcall.com. It is bundled with the Call Flow Extract, and can be used to setup all of your BCMS reports.

You can set this up to have all of your BCMS reports run under one window schedule, and have the output emailed to a distribution list as well as exports as .CSV files.

The BCMSit does not email the .csv formatted reports, only the HTML version.
