Connecting 2 definities on Intuity LX

I need to connect 2 definities on an intuity LX. Def1 is the host system. I configured the host system and it working fine. I configure the communication processor channels and the signaling group of both systems correctly but the hunt group of the remote system is giving me busy tone. In the MAP5 intuity we used to administer DCIU Iterface parameters, but in the Intuity LX there is no such an administration field. Am I missing something ? I believe I miss something in the administration of Intuity regarding the interface with the remote system. Any ideas?

Hello Savvas,
I read your problem and actually i am sending this reply, not to give an answer, but to ask you if you find the solution to your problem, because i am facing similar problem and i can't find any answer.
I have two(2) Definity systems connected through ISDN PRI Lines and they communicate each other through DCS private networking.
Intuity LX VM system is connected with one Definity system(local) through LAN connection (CLAN card is used for this purpose).
I've been able to access Hunt group from remote system, to leave or retrieve messages for remote users but there is no activation of message waiting indication to remote user telephone set when new messages arrived.
New messages to local definity users activate message waiting indication without any problem.
Are there any ideas or any suggestion regarding this problem?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

Re: Connecting 2 definities on Intuity LX

What is the message center setting on page 2 of the hunt group?

audix or rem-vm?

I think if you have it set to rem-vm and set the coverage path in the hunt group to def1 hunt extension via the cover remote table, it might help.

Maybe

Hello again,
Thank you very much for your immediate reply.

It don't seems to be a hunt group issue, since i can access voice mail from remote systems and calls to remote PBX stations, covered by audix.

It seems more like processor channel and ISDN-TSC administration issue, but unfortunately all available documentation regarding this administration of Definity and Intuity is written for old version of Audix systems where links between Audix and Definity implement with X.25 connections and not with IP connection.

I''ll be very happy If you have any document which describes the above administration and you can send it or if you can tell me where ican look for it.

Regards

You are using DCS to link the second system, correct?

Have you verified that the nodes are unique and configured on the PBX's and Audix.

Probably have, but just thought I'd ask.

Re: Connecting 2 definities on Intuity LX

Hey guys,

I found this old thread while trying to find some guidance for a build out I'm working on.

I'm setting up a ProLogix with CM2 which is tied to another Prologix running CM2 over IP Trunks.

I've got the switches up and running and the IP Trunks are functional and calls route between sites.

Now I'm trying to centralize the Audix. It's working on the existing switch, however I can't seem to get the new Prologix to integrate with the Audix LX at the first site....

I've tried a lot of what is described here, although I noticed Al asked about DCS (which I'm not using)....is that a requirement for Audix centralization?

TIA,
SJF

Maybe not. I have an S8700 in Ft. Worth that has two IP Offices hanging off of it via IP trunks using their V5 Intuity Audix as centralized VM. The IP Offices are simply tied to the S8700 via IP trunks as DCS is not an option and the Audix is lighting lights with no problem. This is the document that I used: http://support.avaya.com/elmodocs2/i...ized_audix.pdf

While this document is specific to linking an IP Office via H.323 trunks to a Definity and then to the Intuity, there might be some information in the Host switch or Intuity sections that will assist you in making your situation work.

regs,
