individual call routing

I need to find a way to redirect a call from a paticular station so they go to my secretary when they call me directly. In other words I want to redirect direct calls "from this individual only" to my secretary when they try to call me directly. I am running a G3si release 6. -thanks

Re: individual call routing

Why not set up a cover path with you secretary as point 1 and voice mail as point 2. You can add a SAC button to your phone. This way if you don't want incoming calls you can press SAC and you secretary will get the incoming call.

Actually, this is not possible ... per ce. There are other options to consider:

1) Do the coverage path thing as liquidvw suggests. Then as soon as you see the call ring you can press the SAC button and the call will go to her.

Disadvantage/Setback: Your secretary will receive ALL of the calls that you do not answer. If she doesn't answer them they'll go to voicemail and/or she can transfer callers to your voicemail box using the "Transfer to Audix" feature access code.

2) Change the COR for both this user and yourself. Make the two new CORs (let's call them "55" for you and "56" for user) identical to the old CORs that each of you had with the following exception: On page 3 of COR 56 (Calling Permissions) change the "Y" to a "N" for COR 55.

Disadvantage/Setback: The user with COR 56 will receive "wave off" tone when he dials your extension. He will never be able to complete a call to your station. He can call your secretary directly and she can transfer the call to you, but he cannot call you directly, period.

3) Place bridged-appearances of your station on your secretary's station and advise her to answer any calls from "User X" but not others.

4) Tell "User X" to call your secretary and then blast him a new orafice when he calls you directly. Better yet, wire his chair for a little 110V action and fire him up with a remote control when you see your phone ringing with his extension number in the display.

regs,

Is UDP (Uniform Dial Plan) turned on in your PBX? If so, there might be a little off-net routing magic we could perform. Check via "display system-parameters customer-options"

Re: individual call routing

I have done something similar with a Vector which analyzes the ANI and the processes the call. I use it to deliver funny messages to people who call me alot. Turned my station into a VDN and put a line like this in the vector.
'goto step ? if ani = xxxx'
You could change this to 'route-to number my_secretary if ani = xxxx'
replacing my_secretary with her extension and xxxx with the offenders extension.

Re: individual call routing

Well, Looks like vectoring is turned off in my switch. I cannot access the "system-parameters customer-options" via change command. I am thinking this is a service that I must purchase. However, UDP is enabled in my switch. I have considered using two separate Cors to and deny acess from user xxxx's Cor to my Cor. But if I could make some kind of change in my UDP that would allow me a little more configuration flexibility to manipulate the call routing from user xxxx to my extension I would like to try that method. However, I do not want to affect anyone else in user xxxx's UDP. -thanks all for the suggestions:-)

Re: individual call routing

the only account which can do "change sys cust" is init... you'll need to "display sys cust"
