try slowing your modem down, to 9600 baud.

Re: Modem issue

hi, you can also select "analog modem / no errors" as the device...

and make the delay 80000 instead of 400000 for disconnect.. and yes, slowing down can help.. for some places, I had to slow to 1200 BAUD.. otherwise, it's garbage.

Re: Modem issue

try 1200.. try also changing the parity for just that location. Also change the idle disconnect options, increasing their lengths.

Re: Modem issue

You could also try setting up a new modem type in ASA, and just set the modem init string as AT&F. This will reset our modem to the factory defaults everytime it dials to your switch.

If that does not work, you can also try putting ATZ in your modem init string instead of the above. This basically just wakes up your modem and tells it to get ready.

For my USR External modem, I setup a new Serial Device called Barry, and set the INIT string to ATZ.

Good Luck!
