Can't Ping the Medpro
Guys,
This problem is kickin my but. Maybe someone can help. I have a PBX with 2 Clans and 1 Medpro, lets call it sight A. I can ping the Medpro from sight B and sight C, but not at sight A. Someother users at sight A can ping the medpro but some cannot. I have not idea why????? Is there a way to clear the arp table in the medpro? Can you see the arp table in the medpro? |

Re: Can't Ping the Medpro
the problem is likely in your network. Can you ping from the MEDPRO to both sites? "ping ip-address xxxxx board [slot/board]"
You also want to make sure when you "list ip-interfaces" that the MEDPRO and CLANS are all in the same network region, but this would not prevent from pinging. |

Re: Can't Ping the Medpro
also, I don't know of any way to clear the ARP table, but what you could do is re-translate the board.. disable it, then literally start over. You can also reset the board, or re-seat after busying it out. But my attitude is some users can see it, others not, it's a LAN issue.

Re: Can't Ping the Medpro
Both Clans and the Medpro are in Network Region 1. The Medpro is in Sight A. Everyone in sight B and C can ping the medpro. But some people in sight A cannot, including me. But I can ping it from B and C.
I already tried a busy and release. That did not work. I did a test board long. It passed. I am going to try removing the programming and moving it to another slot and recreate the programming. Here is something else strange. The switch that the Medpro connects to is the same switch that I plug into when I am at sight A. I can ping to and from the switch to the medpro. But not my laptop. |

Re: Can't Ping the Medpro
I have had a similar issue due to a bug on some software revisions - Prior to FW 93
Quote from Documentation "Previously, TN2302AP HV3 would ignore MAC addresses with an OUI of xx-11-xx or xx-2E-xx" Check the Mac addresses of your devices - It's a long shot but has caught us out a few times now. May not be the issue, but worth a mention. :-) |

Re: Can't Ping the Medpro
Not sure what cured my problem but it works now.
I moved the Medpro to another carrier from C to D. Changed it from 10 half to 100 full. Moved it to a new port on the cisco switch (configured for 100 full). Upgraded the firmware from hw75 to hw93. All is good. Thanks for everyones input. |
