logging incoming calls with cdr

Does anybody know how to log incoming calls with cdr. I am trying to get my g3s1 ver 6 to log incoming calls as well as outgoing. I got out going to work but not incoming. I have caller id set over isdn pri lines so I would think that this would be possible. I called Avaya tech center they told me that this could not be done.

Re: logging incoming calls with cdr

Have you checked "Change System-parameter cdr" there is a setting "Record Outgoing Only" this may be set to y

Re: logging incoming calls with cdr

I found it! If you go into system-parameters cdr and change the format to either expand or int-isdn the cdr will show both inbound and outbound calls. Know what I need to do is make a custom format that shows date, time, trunk in/out, calling number in/out, and called number in/out. Does anybody know how to do this? I tried creating a custom format but it is almost unreadable.

do not use a custom format.. use "unformatted" Also, you can use NetCat via a CLAN and dump the data onto a server.

Re: logging incoming calls with cdr

My incoming ACD calls return an Abandon IN response on my call logging software confirmed by the raw cdr data, after announcements and being queued, as soon as the agents answers the call. Any ideas? I do have a custom format set up.

Honestly? My idea is for you to get CMS... I have never heard of using CDR to track abandons.. the problem is the CDR software is determining what's an ABN or not..

Here's our format.. an ABN call just comes up as a recieved and answered call in our CDR. by a trunk if not an agent (hence, the ABN).

CDR SYSTEM PARAMETERS

Node Number (Local PBX ID): 3 CDR Date Format: month/day
Primary Output Format: unformatted Primary Output Endpoint: CDR1

Modified Circuit ID Display? n Remove # From Called Number? n
