alarm log

when I do a 'disp alarm' I see several pages of warning alarms on stations. How do I clear this stuff out? They are on both digital and analog stations.-

Re: alarm log

Hi,

That depends of the type of warning alarm you have, for instance if you see a warning out alarm on a digital extension it means that someone has unpluged the phone line or removed the phone:devil: .

Re: alarm log

otherwise you can do a "test alarm long clear"
the "clear" will take any resolved alarms out of the list.

Re: alarm log

Can you paste your alarm report here. I am sure we can help better if we saw the alarms.

Re: alarm log

turn off testing on analog stations that are used for faxing or modems, then do 'test alarms clear'.
Remove stations that aren't being used and do 'test alarms clear'.
Request Avaya to do 'set options' and turn off alarming for all stations.(not advisable)
