emailing reports from ASA 2.0.12

Hi, has anyone come across this problem before?

When trying to email reports from ASA I get the following error message.....
"Email Cannot be sentk dropped connection on reset"

SMTP is set up correctly on our excahnge server and the settings in ASA are set up. We do send emails from other applications using SMTP without any problems.

Thanks

Did you find a solution to the "Email Cannot be sentk dropped connection on reset" error? I'm getting the same error but use Lotus Domino as our mail server. The Domino mail server is set up for SMTP mail.
Thank you very much.

Re: emailing reports from ASA 2.0.12

Please check to your network security admin first, but if you're the admin. make sure you can telnet your mailserver smtp port, disable any firewall that automatically drop smtp connection without using registered client mail software (ie. outlook). Please check for antivirus software that blocked your smtp port.
Be carefull to opening your smtp port in your PC/network, you are now open to relaying any bulk mail.

It's good idea to update your ASA to become 2.0.13.

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but in earlier versions of ASA I'm pretty sure you had to have the outlook client running on the machine when the report was generatedl. I assume this is not the case any longer...
