Question CTI integration employing Avaya CTI 1.3.

Hi friends

Can someone share insights on CTI integration employing Avaya CTI 1.3. We need to integrate the screen pops and control the basic agent phone features (login, logout, hold, transfer etc) functions employing cti clients on agent windows desktops. Some doubts are as under:-

Which cti client to be installed with ct server. TS WIN32 or JTAPI.
Where can I have the event/message information for login, logout, hold, transfer etc from.
Apart from the ASAI link administration on 8700 what all do I need to take care of on CT server and Agent application side.

Thanking you all for anticipated assistance.

Regards

Ajay

Re: CTI integration employing Avaya CTI 1.3.

Hi, on the pbx you need asai core and maybe asai plus (depending what you need to do), adjunct link is also necesary. Once that in the mapd you configure the cti link and for ct you use dlg (other products use cvlan).

then in a server you install the tserver and the win32 client an you will have a complete cti integration. If you have a devlopment team your company can develop the rest of the cti to connect to your TS and capture the events or send messages, if not there are cti products available in the market that already do this job.

Re: CTI integration employing Avaya CTI 1.3.

Many Thanks for the reply. I need to help my development team in building the desktop applications for controling button fns like agentlogin , logout, hold, transfer etc on ip hardphone 4602.
Can we have it with CTI server . I believe Avaya also projects CMAPI for this functionality??
Is TS Win32 Client housed on CT server; all to give them the required events . Will they require some middleware or API which I can ask from Avaya.

Regards

Ajay

You can using the Avaya CT TSAPI or JTAPI API to develop your application .
You can see the Tsapi API doc name is defporg.pdf in Avaya CT CDRom. It is a Programmer’s Reference guide.
