Re: Transferring directly to VM
You will need the Goto-Cover button on your phone. Transfer the call then use the "goto-cover" button.

Re: Transferring directly to VM
do a transfer to one of the members of your audix hunt group (not the hunt group extension). Example if your you hunt group is 1000, the members might be 1001, 1002, 1003, etc. Transfer to 1003 then when audix picks up enter the extension of the person and hit transfer again. There is probably a better way to do this, but this way does work.

Re: Transferring directly to VM
Also I doubt this is the case, but if you are covering for the person (like a seceretary covering for the boss) and you got the call via coverage, you could use the transfer to Audix feature code, but it only works if you got it via coverage.
Another more cumbersome but nice way to do it is just create an Auto Attendant that does nothing but facilitate transfers, have the treatment as call answer and give it a simple messgae like "Enter the party's number you wish to reach now." I only do that instead of calling the Audix group members because sometimes people get jerky about security and the Audix ports.

Re: Transferring directly to VM
I like the Auto Attendant idea. That's a good way to handle it. I should look something like this:
SUBSCRIBER AUTOMATED ATTENDANT MENU Allow Call Transfer? n Button Extension Treatment Comment 1: e call-answer 2: e call-answer 3: e call-answer 4: e call-answer 5: e call-answer 6: e call-answer 7: e call-answer 8: e call-answer 9: e call-answer 0: 0 transfer Timeout: 0 transfer Length Of Time-Out On Initial Entry : 5 |
