Re: Val Lan Manager

Upgrade your VAL-Board in firmware 7.
There is a critical service alert on the firmware 6.

Note about the service alert:

************************************************** ************************
NOTE: All customers should update their TN2501AP's with this firmware.
This firmware contains END OF YEAR "roll-over" fixes that correct lost announcement problems.
************************************************** ************************
The following issues were addressed in this vintage of firmware:
Problems with announcements being lost or reverting to older versions have been resolved. See the additional information section at the end of this readme file.
The TN2501AP will now handle "large FTP command" (longer than 1024 bytes) attacks gracefully.
Telnet and Rlogin ports have been disabled. These ports are no longer present when the Ethernet connection is "scanned"If a user issues the "enable filesystem" command with the filesystem already enabled, the TN2501AP now responds with a correct error message.
Denial of service filters have been added to the TN2501AP.
If a RESET board command is issued while the TN2501AP is backing up announcements to its own flash memory, software will now wait for the backup to complete before resetting the board.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
6) Change History
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This release of the TN2501AP Firmware Vintage 7 contains several bugfixes that stemmed from customers reporting missing announcement files. It also includes some security enhancements such as disabling unnecessary network services and adding denial of service filters. The problem of resetting every 47 days (error 1293) has also been fixed. Firmware Vintage 7 contains all the changes included in Firmware Vintage 6.

Re: Val Lan Manager

This is the same process as for a CLAN.
You have to do :
-enable file board VALBOARD emplacement login xxx xxx
-ftp on the Val
-put the file in the Val
-change download firmware

The same processa s for the CLAN.
