Re: Monitor Station
I agree. A call accounting package would be best. But the word "record" is thowing me off. Are you looking to "record" the voice conversation or are you looking just for the CDR records? If you just want the CDR records, but don't have a call accounting package. Hook a laptop's com port to your PBX, run hyperterminal, you will collect all the CDR data in raw form.
List trace will not work, it will time out after awheil.... |

Re: Monitor Station
Can the user know that this is happening? If yes, try this.
http://www.metrolinedirect.com/rede.html If no, then....do a google search for digital extension tap. I found this, but never used it. http://www.musictelecom.nl/products/...ationtap.shtml |

Re: Monitor Station
if no you might be able to set up something like this:
(1) display sys cust make sure "Service Observing (Remote/By FAC)" is y (2) use a splitter to connect an analog (2500) phone and a Tape Recorder w/RJ11 input (you can buy one at Radio Shack) to an analog port. (3)create an analog extension (type 2500). Give it a COR with "Can be a service observer", and allow that COR to observe the COR the target is in. (4)change feature-access-codes: check what the FAC for "Service Observing Listen Only Access Code"... assign one if it is blank (5)use the analog phone to dial the FAC for service observe, then the target's extension (6)press record on the recorder (flip the switch to voice activated, if it is there). Hope this helps... it's a little crude, but works for an exception like this. |

Re: Monitor Station
also if you don't want the target to know, check on these:
SERVICE OBSERVING Service Observing: Warning Tone? n or Conference Tone? n on the display system-parameters features screen. |
