Meet Me Conference question

What is the maximum number of conference accounts you can have on an S8700? Some of ours are saying full. when they are not. We build 9 per 800 number and all work fine except the last ones and we have 54

The magic number of members per converence is six (6). As a result, many companies have purchased IP Office 403s specifically to hang off of the Definity via T1 connectivity and have a 24-port voice bridge.

Re: Meet Me Conference question

According to the Product Manager, they are looking to raise the number to 24 by CM 3.0 (hopefully sooner). How we got around the 6 limitation, as a work around, is a few people will dial into the conference and then use their conference button on the phone to bridge in the remaining people. A pain yes, but it has significantly decrease the number of times one of our business units has had to use an external conference service who usually conferences in around 15 people.

There is a slight issue with quality with the people who have been bridged on via the phone. Though it's not so bad they don't continue to do the work around.

Regards,

Chris

Actually using an IP Office 403 you can go up to 48 members in the conferencing center. The 403 ver2.1 allows two T1 cards. Just thought you'd like to know. :)

... and with a 412 you can get 96. The example used was for a single T1.
