CentreVu version 9 problem

Hi all,

I have centervu v9 and am using CMS v11.

When trying to log into CentreVu, I receive an error that CMS is the wrong version. On the server config, I only have an option of CMS v6, 8 and 9. Our 3rd party telecom company hooked me up with a CMS v12 cd and it also has centrevu v9 on it so I'm sure it should work and maybe I'm just configuring it wrong.

Anyway, if anyone is familiar with Centrevu, would appreciate any help.

THANKS

Re: CentreVu version 9 problem

when you create a new SERVER it will have an option in there for which CMS version to use.
you can check if V12 is compatible with V11. Im not sure. I have V11 and its not backward compatible with anything.

From my understanding anything higher then 11 won't allow you to use older versions of CVSup.

Re: CentreVu version 9 problem

You can still use Terminal Emulator (any version) to see any version of CMS.

Re: CentreVu version 9 problem

We had to install the older version of CentreVu as well as ver 11 at our sites.

We found out the hard way! When ver 11 asks if you want to remove the older version... just say NO!!

Good luck

Re: CentreVu version 9 problem

Thanks everyone for your help...at the end of the day, I found out that they can do all their reporting via CMS and don't really need CentreVu so I'm not gonna worry about it, never did have any luck with getting it to connect but luckily its not a need at this point.
