Available extensions in Indial Range

Hi,

Does anyone know of a utility that can check a G3si (r11) In Dial Range for what/how many extensions are available for usage. ASA only shows you the next available in a range, and Avaya said that I have to do a 'list extension' and manually count through for what numbers are unused - which when doing capacity reports, counting through 1000 numbers can be extremely time consuming and painful :-)

Also, when I run a disp cap, it only shows me how many unused licenses/ports there are under 'Station and Trunk Ports' - it doesn't really give me a definitive overview...

Any help appreciated,

Thanks,

Dave.

Try using the ASA GEDI (under the General Tab of ASA) Find Unused Extensions. You will need to know your starting extension range such as: 3000. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Re: Available extensions in Indial Range

Hello,

We use the 'Find Unused Extensions' utility that comes with the Call Flow Extract from www.utilcall.com

All we have to do now is select our site, add our dial plan into the system (the first time), and now we just click on the Get Unused Extensions button.

When it is done we get an HTML document that shows us all of our free extensions for Agents, Stations, VDNs, Announcements etc.

There is also a really cool option that will show us extensions that were defined outside of our range. I.E someone setup an announcement in the VDN range.

Here is a link to a sample report from their site http://www.utilcall.com/Unused%20Extensions%20Sample.html extensions in green are free, black are used, gray are extensions defined out of range.

Have fun
Barry
