ANI, identifying numbers
Hello,
I just moved into a new office on a Navy base. The office has a few jacks with dial tone but none are labeled with the number. We need to identify the numbers to distribute to the people moving in, and they will need to know what number that are using anyway. I have the ANI number for the phone company but I get the same number on every jack (host number apparently) due to the PBX. I think the PBX is Avaya (could be Lucent). I think most large PBXs have their own ANI feature. Does anyone know what the ANI number might be? Thanks, Greg |

Re: ANI, identifying numbers
In order to identify the extension numbers, the best thing you can do is to call an extension with a display. About the ANI numbers, you should administer the "isdn public-unknown-numbering" so that ALL extension will send their unigue number
