Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

Hi folks,
I have set a bridged appearance to appear on a secretary's 8410d (her 3rd call-appr button)
and its not displaying, or ringing at her station.
Have I overlooked something in the either partys COS or COR's...?
Bridged call alerting and per button ring control are both enabled.
I have tried this on other stations with no success either.
Could you help this new fella out system specs are included in my sig.
Thank you.

Re: Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

hi

do the following checks. it should be fine

1
since your phone is digital you move to line appearance field and enter'brdg-appr' i think you have already done this.
2
Enter primary phone ext and in the ring field enter 'y' or 'n'

3

type 'list bridge and the extension 'and press enter.

Re: Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

are you sure you are bridging the correct button? There are three 2 fields when you bridged a digital station. The button (Btn) and the extension. Maybe you are not using the Btn field correctly

Re: Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

here is what I have
5397 (8410D) is the ext I want to pick up on 5360 (callmaster)
here is the config on the 5360:

I have bridged call alerting & per button ring control enabled
Button assignments:
1. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
2. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
3. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
4. brdg-appr Btn:3 Ext: 5397 Ring: r

I can see the 5360 ext listed when I enter 'li bridged-extensions 5397'
however when I call 5397 nothing displays on the 3rd button on 5360

I guess what Im wondering is there any additional configuration that must be changed for this to work are there something that has to be enabled on the COS for either user.

Thanks again for any assistance!

Re: Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

Should try this:

Button assignments:
1. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
2. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
3. call-appr Auto-A/D? n Ring: r
4. brdg-appr Btn:1 Ext: 5397 Ring: r

As per the previous reply - The "Btn" field is importand here - I suggest this is you problem.

BTN 1 refers to line 1 of ext 5397 (Which is probably what you want)
BTN 2 refers to line 2 , and so on

Hope it helps

Re: Bridged Appearance = no appearance.

with 3 call appearances button 3 is usually reserved for outbound calls unless you turn off restirct last call appearance. Agree button 1 should work.
