Patching over multicore cable
Hi Everyone.
I need to add some extensions to another building about 60m away and plan to use 20 pair CW1308B cable. I've been told that the digital handsets use a single pair, so in theory this should give us 20 lines that we'll patch into a panel. I need some information which I couldn't find in our documentation - 1) Which pair do the digital handsets use ? 2) Which pair to analogue devices use ? 3) If they use different pairs, can I wire in the digital pair anyway and rewire a patch cable at the other end to switch pairs so as to support an analogue device ? 4) How much should a 100m reel cost ? I've seen prices of £110 + VAT. I hope someone here can help. Can you see any problems I'm likely to encounter ? I'm using an IP406 with 2030-NL handsets. Many thanks, Dave Compton. |
