Install Porta System
G3rV9.5
I am installing several 578 PFTU from Porta System(power failure stations) and my question is were can I pull the 48 volt power for the unit, from the switch. I'm thinking it is on the Aux port but don't know for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Install Porta System
Be carefull using the Aux tail as a power unit. Keep in mind if you experience any shorts or problems (as one of my customers did from a Janitors mop at the station using the Aux power from the Proc) then you could short the most expensive (potentially) board in your PBX. It is worth the money to pwer these units from external power supplies.
