Exclamation FYI- Clans don't play well

Found out the hard way, Clan boards do not play well with other lan equipment. Make sure that you lock down both the Clan board and the Ethernet switch it connects to. Avaya is currently suggesting  that you use 100 Mps and full duplex, unless the connection is strictly for IP phone connectivity then it can be locked down to 10mps/half. Do not leave clans and Medpros set to auto negotiation. Trust me, it is true!

I can second that.. :) we had a customer that the port would always lock up on (their switch). Manually set it and no more crashing.

"Do not leave clans and Medpros set to auto negotiation."

Good rule of thumb for any NIC configuration.
