Cool Pateint Room phones

System is a G3rv9.5 in a 400 bed Hospital
I am trying to figure out a simple way to turn off pateint room phones individually, each pateint has to pay a small fee to get use of the telephone and my administration has informed me that I must enforce this by turning the phones off if they do not pay the fee. It use to be on the honor system if you paid fine but if not, the phone still worked.
I have a 24 hour operator staff, and they use to use the "user controlled restrictions" but that got out of hand, they were turning off every other phone but the one they should.
So I'm looking for other possible options to terminate the service of each line. I am eager to hear any suggestions.

The use of "Controlled Restrictions" by properly trained personnel is the easiest way to accomplish what you desire. However, I would think that it should be a function of the admissions staff rather than that of your operators. This is where the rubber meets the road and these are the folks that control the money, insurance, etc. They know and control WHEN a patient is admitted to a room, what room, how long, etc. You could easliy assign a COS with console permissions to their digital sets and allow them to set the "Controlled Restrictions" whenever they admit or discharge a patient.

Aside from "controlled restrictions" you'd need to have a 24-hour administration staff to do it from software by changing the COR, etc. ... not a pretty prospect.
